Another enjoyable evening in Pocatello.

Emmie lost her 3rd tooth - on the bottom, next to her front teeth.

Upon seeing a warehouse on TV with thousands of boxed crates...."Oh, I know why they call it a warehouse.....because they don't know where anything is."

Evening stroll to.....

.....Idaho State University, where David serves as a Dean/Professor.  We played frisbee and catch in one of the open fields.

En route to Pocatello, found a creamery with homemade ice cream.  Emmie got the Flavor of the Month - Watermelon.  Kris and Eric got Salted Caramel.  Emmie liked ours better such that she ate hers and half of ours.

Mt Rainer NP - Hike to Carter Falls

Given rain, we left Kalaloch/Olympic just after 7 AM.

We drove through Mt Rainier NP late morning; along the Southern most road in the Park.  Snuck in a 2 mile roundtrip hike to Carter Falls.  After crossing the bridge, "this is awesome".

Evening program in which Emmie learned about Octopuses (not Octopi).  The largest Giant Pacific Octopus found was measured at 30 ft.

Emmie made friends with youngsters at the neighboring site.  They live in WA, but have only been in the States for 5 years, and came from Beijing.  The father asked if Emmie had experience babysitting, or reading to younger children, given her ease in assisting with the girls.  In semi broken English he claimed that "Emmie is....Awesome".

Rockaway Beach, OR

Long drive today that landed us in Rockaway Beach; staying on the Beach.  Indoor pool for Emmie, and a tide pool.  Harry Potter and Geronimo Stilton on Audio CD filled much of the time.
