Art Class
Emmie conceived the idea to host an Art Class, made invitations, set up the stations and created and executed the lesson plan!
Side Note: All of the rooms in our house were given Room #'s during Spring Break. She now asks for food delivered to Room 1010, to be met in Room 1011, etc.

Tired Dogs
The aftermath of an adventure hike / scavenger hunt (for Emmie) at Pinicon Ridge! The scavenger hunt, and clues within, made the hike fun for Emmie! While hiking, Emmie found deer tracks. Eric complimented her tracking abilities...."Get it, I'm a TRACKer."

Spring Break - Day 5
Went to Grand Harbor WaterPark in Dubuque (took Shaylee along). Molly and her son, Chase, went with us!
En route:
Mom: Emmie, I need my phone for directions (as we neared Dubuque).
Emmie: You know where Dubuque is.
Mom: Right, but I don't know how to get to Molly's house.
Emmie: What?!? We've been there tons of times.
Mom (confused): You've only been there once or twice (years ago), and Molly moved since then.
Emmie: Does she still coach?
Mom (more confused): Molly doesn't coach; she is a veterinarian.
Emmie: I wondered how she coached at Coe when she lives this far away.
Mom (figured it out): The Molly that has twin boys still coaches at Coe. This is a friend from Mom's childhood named Molly. She has a daughter named Kylie.
Emmie: So Berkley (Kylie's daughter) won't be there?
Mom: No, different Molly, different Kylie.
Emmie: Oh. Here (she gave me the phone).
She cashed in 410 tickets at the counter. The clerk's tone was quite comical.
Emmie: I'll take one tootsie roll (2 tickets) and one mini eraser (2 tickets).
Mom: Emmie, you can get far more than one of each.
Emmie: I only want one.
Clerk: Ok. You have 406 tickets left.

We went to the arcade after. Emmie won the jackpot (400 tickets) in game in which the odds of doing so is NOT LIKELY AT ALL. Think Plinko x10.

The kids played outside at Molly's house once Kylie got home from school:

Spring Break - Day 4
Being St. Patrick's Day, a leprechaun paid us a visit. Emmie's stuffed dog was in the kennel, the milk and toilet water was green, the shoes mismatched and Emmie and Mom's underwear was switched.
Spent the afternoon with Oliver. Part of that time was at Coe; Emmie took a tennis lesson for the second day in a row.
Spent the morning in Middle Amana with B, B & B!

Spring Break - Day 3
Started the day dress shopping for Dan & Angie's Wedding. LIKE Mom in her younger years and still, Emmie didn't want to go, "Not today. I don't like shopping. We have the whole week." Despite the hassle in getting her there, she pranced around the stage in her dress. That part was very much UNLIKE Mom.

A visit to Half Price Books and Subway was the reward for having gone dress shopping. Emmie got a Giant Word Search book at the bookstore. Eric walked from Coe, and met us a Subway.
After Subway, Emmie randomly insisted on going to Coe to play tennis. She renamed most all that Eric and Mom taught her. For instance, she had us calling the split step, the entrance. Her footwork was good! After her lesson, "I think I should take a tennis lesson everyday."
Mom had the Women's Basketball Team in the pool for Strength & Conditioning Wednesday evening. Emmie and Shaylee joined!
Quotes:
Emmie was playing a game on her iPod in the car. She passed a level, and turned to her snack. "Oh yeah, victory Cheez-Its!"
Emmie was trying to get 120 points before getting to Subway. As we neared, she was only at 112, and started saying, "Mayday, mayday, mayday. That light needs to stay red."
While walking the dogs, Turner was running with Mom to catch up to Emmie, "He just wants to join my ring of Awesomeness."
We were trying to find the headphones that Shaylee had borrowed during the sleepover:
Mom: Didn't you clean up the basement?
Emmie: Yes, but there wasn't any trace of the headphones.
