Breakfast of Champions

Mom:  We have an oil change at Toyota in the morning.

Emmie:  I'm not going.....wait, is it that place with the popcorn and pie?

Mom:  It is.

Emmie:  I guess I'll go.

Emmie has wanted half of her head shaved for a couple of years now.  We came to a compromise such that a small portion was shaved, and her longer hair would/could cover the second when/if desired.

Emmie:  I really want to do this, but I'm kind of scared of how my Dad is going to react.

Mom:  I understand that, but we're not talking about a life or death decision here.

Emmie:  Maybe.  My Dad might kill me when he finds out.

"This is literally the best day of my life."

You've Been Served

Emmie asked me to sit in the bathroom with her because the guy with the mustache above the door is always creepily watching her.

Grandma was called to the door and served with legal paperwork (on her birthday!).

Clean Freak

Emmie was put to work at G&G's; she vacuumed the car and organized the pantry (to Grandma's liking or not).

Emmie:  Wait, this is what you two do when we're at school?  Ride bikes and watch movies?

Mom:  Sometimes, but we usually watch educational movies such as a documentary.

Emmie:  Oh, nevermind, I'm out.
