The Death Trap

Emmie tried Mom and Eric's newly acquired smart trainer and software (Zwift).  She seemed to have fun with it, but we learned her true impression the next day:

Emmie:  Where is Eric?

Mom:  Downstairs on the smart trainer.

Emmie:  You mean the death trap?!?!

While watching the National Championship, I explained to Emmie that Charlie (and Jenna) attended Georgia.  She overheard the announcer refer to them by mascot, "They're the dawgs?!?!  That's awesome.  I'm definitely going to college there."

Later in that same conversation, "Why are they the dawgs though?  Shouldn't they be the peaches?  And Iowa be the corn?"

Mom:  Thanks for cleaning up your room!

Emmie:  I had to.  My closet was literally dripping out clothes.

Emmie:  Mom, are you okay?  You've been in there awhile.

Mom:  I'm cleaning the bathroom.

Emmie:  Oh, I thought maybe you were constipated.

An hour later, Emmie barged into the bathroom (a different bathroom than the one I had been cleaning) with her friend trailing behind.....

Mom:  Excuse me!?!

Emmie:  Oh, sorry.  I thought you were just cleaning in here.

Mom forgot to turn on the warmer when she put bath towels in.  She gave them to Emmie anyway, "What happened to the heat in heated?"

Family Cabin Weekend - McGregor

En route, we saw a woman mowing her yard by pony.  We explained the Amish way of life to Emmie and Chavah.  Emmie kept accidentally referring to the Amish as the Irish.  I gave them a scavenger hunt - 4 tractors, 3 American flags, 2 dogs, 1 water tower.  Emmie replied, "Wait, we're in Irish territory.  This is a trick.  They don't even have tractors!"
