Twins & Tacos

Claire and Jeanne joined us for a taco and quesadilla night before they return to UNI to finish their Junior year (Claire spent the Fall in Spain and Jeanne leaves Friday):

Train

Given a -32 temperature (with wind chill), school was cancelled the first day back from Break.  Emmie and I spent the day cleaning up and putting together Plasticville, and swapping the basement family room (which had become a toy room) with the fitness room to create an actual toy room, fitness area in the basement family room and space for the train!

Glasses

Emmie made a visit to Dr. Anderson, and left the appointment with a prescription for glasses.  She loves them:

Paradise (at -32 degrees)

G&G gave Emmie a towel warmer for Christmas.  This was the first time she got to use it:
"I could get used to this!  This is like paradise!"

New Year's

Grandpa picked up Emmie at the exchange.  We all had a couple hours together at G&G's house to celebrate the New Year.  Grandpa passed down buildings from his train set, and made Emmie a train car with stickers (Emmie's Train, Subway, Parlor City).

Emmie wanted to buy this Nut Roll for Grandpa for Christmas, but Mom wouldn't pay full price.  Luckily, it went on closeout such that we were still able to present him with the novelty gift:
