En route, we saw a woman mowing her yard by pony.  We explained the Amish way of life to Emmie and Chavah.  Emmie kept accidentally referring to the Amish as the Irish.  I gave them a scavenger hunt - 4 tractors, 3 American flags, 2 dogs, 1 water tower.  Emmie replied, "Wait, we're in Irish territory.  This is a trick.  They don't even have tractors!"

Mom got new toys for purposes of training.  Emmie was intrigued until she realized the inherent difficulty.

Emmie:  How did you do this for 8 hours?

Emmie:  Where is Eric?

Mom:  Downstairs on the trainer.

Emmie:  Oh, you mean doing the torture workout?

Lazy Glasses

Emmie used her own money to buy glasses that reflect so that she doesn't have to strain her neck when watching her iPad.  She considers the inventor a "lazy genius".
