Once again, GJ and Grandpa Bob took all of the cousins for a week, with Emmie being the oldest cousin present (Matthew is the oldest, but in college).
Day 2:
I get a call from an 815 #. I answer the call and am hung up on. The same # calls back:
Mom: Hello.
Emmie: Oh, you're there. Hi Mommy!
(conversation ensues)
Emmie: I'm going to give the phone to Mason so he knows I'm actually talking to you. He thinks I'm pretending.
Mom: Why doesn't he think you're talking to me?
Emmie: He doesn't think you can actually call someone on this old phone with push buttons.
I assured Mason that the phone was real, Emmie asked for Eric's phone # and then told me she had to go because the cousins were going to take turns calling their parents.
I got a call (at least one) from that 815 # each and every day!
Wednesday:
While on the phone, "I can't believe it myself, but I suggested that we go retro for a day and not have electronics."
GJ asked the cousins what their favorite part of the week was. Emmie's response, "That we were together."
After pick-up, Emmie was recounting Sean and Noelle's wedding ceremony:
"I said I'd only be part of it if I got to be the one that read from the Bible (for the record, they actually found a Bible)......and then I said, Sean, do you take Noelle to be your AWFULLY wedded wife? And Noelle, do you take Sean to be your AWFULLY wedded husband?
